The first look and premiere date for Egyptian singer-actress, Bushra's long-awaited TV series "Tabiba Sharya" has been revealed.
It was initially set to debut during the Ramadan 2023 drama marathon, marking Bushra’s comeback to the marathon after two years of absence.
Now, the series is set to debut on Saturday, February 10 on the "Mehwar" TV channel.
"Tabiba Sharya" boasts a cast that includes Salah Abdallah, Nedal El Shafey, Firas Saayed, Razan El Moghrabi, Marwa Abdel Moneim, Mai Selim, and more.
Director Shady Abu Shady helmed the series from a script by Mohammed Al-Ghaiti.
Bushra was last seen in "Awlad Harim Karim", the sequel to the 2005 film "Harim Karim".
The first film achieved remarkable success during its premiere and starred Moustafa Amar, Yasmin Abdulaziz, Basma, Ola Ghanem, Talaat Zakaria, Edward, Khaled Sarhan, Zizi Mostafa, Hanaa El Shorbagy, and Mohamed Shahin.
The film hailed from filmmaker Ali Idris and scriptwriter Zainab Aziz and centered around a married couple, Karim (Amar) and Gigi (Abdulaziz), whose happy marriage is ruined due to a misunderstanding.
Desperate to win his wife back, he seeks the help of his ex-girlfriend and college buddies who only make it worse, but eventually, they manage to get their act straight and Karim wins his wife back.
The sequel witnesses the return of the creative team behind its predecessor along with several stars from the original cast, including Moustafa Amar, Basma, Dalia El Behery, Ola Ghanem, and Khaled Sarhan.
It will also feature newcomers Bushra, Amr Abdul Gelil, Rana Raeis, Tiam Mustafa Amar, Hana Daoud, Youssef Omar, Hana Daoud, Karim Mohamed Karim, and Fouad Mohsen.
The sequel will also feature Riham Abdel Ghafour, who is heading back to set to briefly reprise her role as Nevine Gouda in the upcoming film.
The sequel will contain 8 songs from Amar and feature Raeis playing his daughter. It is produced by iProductions and distributed by Rotana.
