BREAKING: Sisi Tasks Madbouly with Forming New Cabinet

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received Prime Minister (PM) Mostafa Madbouly today, June 3, 2024, who submitted his cabinet's resignation.

Sisi tasked Dr. Mostafa Madbouly with forming a new government comprised of individuals with outstanding competencies, expertise, and abilities. 

The new government will work towards several objectives, foremost among them maintaining the determinants of Egyptian national security in light of regional and international challenges.

It will prioritize the development of the Egyptian citizen, especially in the fields of health and education, continue efforts to enhance political participation, and address issues of security, stability, and combating terrorism to build on the achievements in these areas. 

Additionally, it will focus on developing cultural awareness, national consciousness, and promoting a moderate religious discourse to reinforce the concepts of citizenship and societal peace.

The president's directives for forming the new government also included continuing the path of economic reform, with a focus on attracting and increasing local and foreign investments, encouraging private sector growth, and overcoming all obstacles to control prices, inflation, and market regulation. This is part of a comprehensive development of the state's economic performance across all sectors.

Furthermore, the president ordered the current government to carry out its duties and functions until the new government is formed.
