US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stressed that his country is nor aware of or involved in the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau.
"This is something we were not aware of or involved in. It's very hard to speculate," Blinken said in an interview with Channel News Asia during a visit to Singapore.
The Hamas movement announced that the body of Ismail Haniyeh would be transferred from Tehran to Doha, tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, after a funeral ceremony in the Iranian capital.
The movement said that the funeral prayer will be held for the soul of the martyr leader in the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Doha after Friday prayers.
