US Secretary of State Antony Blinken offered his condolences to his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita for the victims of the earthquake that struck Morocco last Friday.
This came in a phone call between Blinken and Bourita, according to a statement issued today by US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.
During the phone call, Blinken expressed his deep sorrow and offered his condolences to Bourita and the Moroccan people for the loss of life and destruction caused by the earthquake.
The two ministers discussed how the United States can best support the Government of Morocco’s leadership of the humanitarian response to this tragedy.
