Bill Gates, founder of the American company "Microsoft", in an interview with the German newspaper "Süddeutsche Zeitung", stressed that important lessons must be learned from the Corona (known also as COVID-19) pandemic.

But Gates warned that the next pandemic maybe 10 times worse than the Corona one.

At the same time, Gates revealed his optimism about an improvement in the epidemiological situation worldwide by the summer, expressing regret regarding the increase in the number of deaths in Corona in many countries across the planet.

He believed that the current difficult situation will continue for several months until the warm weather arrives.

He pointed out that the availability of vaccines and vaccinations will be possible to achieve a  significant decrease in the death rate.

The German newspaper quoted the founder of "Microsoft" as saying that has been working for several years actively to improve health care around the world.

He affirmed that he has become an enemy in the eyes of supporters of conspiracy theories because of his active efforts in support of vaccination campaigns against the coronavirus.

The German newspaper noted that the 65-year-old Gates insists on a fair distribution of Corona vaccines so that poor countries can obtain them.

He also expects that "COVID-19" will become part of the "new reality", like climate change.

The founder of Microsoft touched on the quarantine restrictions, noting that political leaders in some countries have spoken honestly about the difficult situation, "you need to wear masks and maintain a separation distance and restrictions."

Gates described the Corona pandemic as horrific but warned that the next epidemic "maybe ten times worse, meaning that a comprehensive global response is needed.

There has been international cooperation in vaccine development between scientists, companies, international organizations, and governments, no country can achieve this alone.

He indicated the international efforts to face the COVID-19 is a lesson in tackling global challenges like climate change it is guaranteed that (the next pandemic) will be ten times worse.
