U.S. President Joe Biden is set to host, Monday, Jordanian King Abdullah II at the White House, in Washington D.C.

Abdullah II is the first Middle East leader to visit the White House since Biden took office last January.

Jordanian King will also attend a business breakfast with US Vice President Kamala Harris at her residence on Tuesday, followed by a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the State Department.

Earlier, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Abdullah’s visit “will highlight the enduring and strategic partnership between the United States and Jordan, a key security partner and ally of the United States.”
