The US President Joe Biden said that the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy ignored the US warnings of the Russian invasion of the European country.
Biden stated that Zelensiky "did't want to hear" the warnings of the US before the Russian invasion.
"I know a lot of people thought I was exaggerating," the US President described his suspects about the possibility of Russian attacks against Ukraine at a fundraising reception in Los Angeles on Friday.
He added: "But I knew we had data to sustain [the assessment]."
The US President comments came as part of his talk about the support the US presents to Ukraine as the war continues for the for fourth month.
“Nothing like this has happened since World War II. I know a lot of people thought I was maybe exaggerating. But I knew we had data to sustain he (Russian President Vladimir Putin) was going to go in, off the border,” he commented.
“There was no doubt,” Biden added. “And Zelenskiy didn’t want to hear it.”
It is worthy to mention that a top aide to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that his country is losing 100 to 200 soldiers a day while fighting on the front lines.
Speaking to the BBC, Mikhailo Podolak said Ukraine needs hundreds of Western artillery systems, adding that Kyiv is not ready to resume peace talks with Moscow.
BBC said that the Ukrainian forces are under constant bombardment, while the Russian forces are trying to control the entire Donbas region.
On Friday, the Ukrainian army announced that 31,900 Russian soldiers were killed between February 24 and June 10.
