On Thursday, US President Joe Biden announced that American hostages who were captured by Hamas were killed in Gaza.
Biden said that he and the First Lady were “devastated” to know that an American citizen believed to be a hostage in Gaza died.
The late citizen Judih Weinstein was announced dead by Kibbutz Nir Oz. Less than a week before, the kibbutz announced the death of her husband, Gad Haggai.
Biden said: “I will never forget what their daughter, and the family members of other Americans held hostage in Gaza, have shared with me."
He added: “They have been living through hell for weeks. No family should have to endure such an ordeal.”
