The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will host the launch of the exhibition of "IDEA- Ancient Greek Science and Technology" on Nov. 9.
The exhibition that will be up and running within the next 3 months, is set to illustrate the transformation and the evolution of Greek knowledge history in several scientific fields, such as basic technologies, astronomy, exploration, and communication, body and mind, arts, architecture, and automation.
Also in this regard, the exhibition will feature several videos and studies on the traveling exhibit on Ancient Greek Science & Technology alongside a number of historical Thales that come from the writings of Herodotos, Aristotle, and other Greek pioneers.
It's expected that Egypt's Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, Ambassador N. Makram, Greece's Deputy Minister for Research and Technology, Dr. C. Dimas, and Secretary-General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, Prof. I. Chrysoulakis will attend the inauguration ceremony that will be held on Tuesday.
The upcoming exhibition aims at revealing the historical evidence of achievements in science, technology, and the making of automation in the ancient Greek world until the era of Byzantium.
