Belgium beat new comer Panama with 3 goals in a rather competitive match. The new comers started out real strong attacking the Belgians rapidly in the beginning of the first half, seemingly heading for another upset in the World cup. The nation with no known players played a coordinated first attempting the goal several times.

The Belgians were surprised by Panama's persistence as before the match began, spectators were predicting a Belgium goal fiasco, The nation with one of the world's attacking fronts and midfield didn't fall short on the prediction but alot less that expected. Mertinez opened the scoring in the 48th minute, followed by a beautiful header from Lukaku in the 69th minute, before finishing the match with a third goal in the 75th minute putting an end to Panama's pursuit
