Egyptian economist Nemat Shafik participated on Saturday, as a key speaker for London, in the first virtual seminar of the "Egypt Can" Industry" conference, in cooperation between the Ministry of Immigration and Trade.

Minister of Planning Hala El Said, former Minister of Finance Hany Damian, in addition to a number of Egyptian industrialists abroad and at home participated in the conference with the aim of supporting the localization of Egyptian industry as well encouraging investments in homeland.
Ambassador Nabila Makram, said she is pleased with the participation of Shafik, as she is an icon to Egyptian women. "We are proud of and we seek to benefit from her deep experience in the field of industry," Makram added.
Egyptians Abroad
She added: "We are looking forward to the outcomes of this symposium, to support the efforts of the Egyptian state in achieving its vision for sustainable development 2030, as well as involving Egyptians abroad with their experiences in various industrial fields."
The "Egypt Can Industry" conference is the sixth edition of the "Egypt Can" conference series, which takes the localization of industry in Egypt and industrial investment as its main theme in this edition, in light of the keen interest that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attaches to this sector, focusing on the experiences of successful Egyptians abroad.
