Barcelona Close to Finalizing Rashford Loan Deal from Man United

Spanish club Barcelona are edging closer to finalize the signing of English star Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United forward, during the current summer transfer window, on loan with an option to buy.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the Catalan club reached a final agreement with both the player and Manchester United, with the deal set to be a one-season loan that includes a buy option for €35 million.

The report added that still the contracts require some final revisions.

However, the main objectives of the deal are reached, making Rashford the first major attacking signing for the team under new head coach Hansi Flick.

Rashford has been one of Manchester United’s standout players in recent years, but his inconsistent form last season opened the door to a potential exit.

Rashford is reportedly Barcelona’s third-choice target to strengthen the left wing, after failed attempts to sign Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao and Luis Díaz of Liverpool.
