On Friday, Barcelona announced that the club reached an agreement with RB Leipzig to sign Spain's Dani Olmo.
The player will sign a contract with the Club for the next six seasons, his buy out clause estimated at 500 million euros.
Olmo said that he is very happy to be back home. His absence from the club lasted for almost 10 years.
The forward arrived at La Masia in 2007 from Espanyol and after seven years in the blaugrana youth system. He exited the club and signed with Croatia's Dinamo Zagreb.
He won five league titles and three Croatia Cups and a Croatian Super Cup and was named player of the year in Croatia on two separate occasions.
He Olmo also made his debut in the Champions League with the Croatian club.
In 2020, he became a major interest from clubs across Europe and he moved to German club RB Leipzig where he spent four seasons in the Bundesliga.
After representing Spain at youth level, Olmo made his debut for the first national team during qualifiers for Euro 2020, scoring on his first appearance.
Since then, he has represented his country in the Tokyo Olympics, winning a silver medal, at the World Cup in Qatar in 2022, and in latest Euro 2024 tournament where he was top scorer with three goals for the tournament champions.
