Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced on Wednesday, that his country regained control over the Kalbajar district, as a part of a deal signed with Armenia, and Russia, that ended weeks of fighting over Nagorno-Karabakh.
In an official statement, The defense ministry in Baku said, "Units of the Azeri army entered the Kalbajar region on November 25" under the deal signed earlier this month by Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia."
Kalbjar is considered the second of three districts to be handed back by Armenia.
