Authors from zimbabwe, wales To Attend CIBF

The Cairo International book fair (CIBF) in its 5th edition will hold cultural seminars to discuss books, translated into Arabic of three authors, including lloyd Markham, Gary Raymond from wales, and Bryony Rheam from zimbabwe.

The first seminar will host the guest of honor Markham, author of "Bad Ideas/Chemicals" on January 26th.

The novel, which was chosen by the Wales Literature Center to be the novel of the year, narrates internal alienation from society through Cassander, who believes that she is an alien not belonging to the Earth.

 

On the same day, the hall will host Raymond, author of "The Golden Orphans", who narrates his account on Cyprus island in the context of suspense and mystery.

Raymond is a BBC radio editor and broadcaster in Wales.

On February 2, Rheam, whose debut novel, "This September Sun", which was first published in Zimbabwe in 2009, is set to travel to the CIBF 2020.

The novel follows Ellie, a shy girl growing up in modern Zimbabwe, who has a close attachment to her grandmother.

One day, Ellie receives the news that her beloved grandmother has been brutally murdered, apparently without reason. This intriguing book uncovers a secret kept hidden for decades.
