Syrian megastar, Assala Nasri is set to perform in Lebanon for the first time in seven years. The event is organized by GMH and is set to take place sometime in the summer.
She is set to present several of her famous and popular songs such as "Kabrtak Ala Sidak", "Kam Marra", "Bent Akaber", and more.
Assala previously shared her love for Lebanon, saying: "How beautiful it is to have a homeland called Lebanon. I'm a loyal, loving, forgiving, and dreaming citizen of this country, which will not be repeated, at least in our lifetime. Lebanon, I'm your twin in pain, ambition, love of life, tolerance, and every characteristic that calls for optimism. As you have overcome, so have I. As you are simple, so am I, and as you are enjoyable, I am trying. Do you see anyone who resembles you like me?".
Born on May 15, 1969, the superstar is one of the best female singers in the Middle East. She made her music debut with the 1991 album “Law Ta’rafou”.
The album featured four songs in the oriental operatic tarab style and was an instant hit with heartbreaking songs like “Ya Sabra Yana” and “Samehtak Ketir”.
Nasri quickly proved her presence in a growing industry brimming with new, young talent such as Saber Rebai, Angham, and Abdelmajeed Abdullah.
