Egyptian actress Asma Abulyazeid will once again team up with actor Amr Saad in his film "AL Ghorban".
The film depicts the Battle of Rommel or the First Battle of el-Alamein, which lasted throughout July 1942 during World War II in Egypt.
The battle ended in a crushing defeat for the Germans after months of hit-and-run tactics.
The project is comparable to Hollywood films in terms of the idea and shooting, especially the action and war scenes.
Production lasted about two years and was shot in a snow-covered Russian region before the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The producing company created a movie set of El Alamein city in the Fayoum, at a cost of about $12 million, in which the rest of the shooting is currently being held.
The film first premieres in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Summer of 2023, before screening in the Gulf countries and the rest of the Arab world.
"AL Ghorban" is also set to screen across the globe after being dubbed into 7 global languages.
