Mohamed Eid’s ‘Lover’s Fall’ Exhibition Kicks off at Cairo Opera’s Bab

Artist Mohamed Eid presented to us the theme of the “Lover’s Fall” exhibition that depicted the coldness of the weather.

The exhibition reflected the artist’s aesthetic approach to love that accompanied absence. He highlighted that he connected the feeling of love to the lover’s absence, and he touched those historical love stories as the lover hopes to bury his beloved in the heart of oblivion.

Through his artworks, his perspective was visually unified with the employed Acrylic colors to attract the audience to observe Eid’s thoughts, interests, and vision that whose artworks combined simplicity with deepness for taking the audience to journey to meditation and thinking.

The Director of Fine Arts Sector Dr. Khaled Sorrour said amid opening the exhibition said: “Eid succeeded in documenting his name as a skilled talented artist that carries the signs of self-confidence, and unique one. He experienced several fields such as painting, graphics, and installation as he wanted to prove his various skills that came together from those different branches and domains to form a unique and subjective artistic direction.

In the same context, Dr. Abdel Aziz El Gendy expressed that the artist chose a good timing to situate himself in the crossroads to have the opportunity to summarize his experience and present its all faces, in addition, it would reflect the features of such romantic and hoping personality.

Eid is an Egyptian artist who was born in 1988, and he got his Ph.D. in Graphic Arts and the theme of his thesis was “The Presence and Absence Dialectic in Graphic Arts.”

He also works as a lecturer at the Printed Design section, Graphic Arts Department, Faculty of Fine Arts.

The artist participated in several international and national occasions with several of his paintings, etchings, and installation works. Several of his works were featured in various museums inside and outside Egypt such as The Modern Art Museums of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Faculties.

He also received several honorary degrees and prizes, including the first prize in the 28th and 30th editions of the Youth Salon in the field of rounds.

The exhibition will last until 8th January.
