Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed that him and his Liverpool teammates are trying to help Mohamed Salah win the Premier League golden boot for a third time.

With four games remaining and the league title already sealed, Salah still has another accolade in his sights as he remains in the hunt for the Premier League golden boot.

Having won the award outright in his debut season at Liverpool and tying with Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the following year, Salah is looking for his third golden boot on the bounce which has only previously been achieved by Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry.

Liverpool’s main man for assists is Trent Alexander-Arnold, and he has spoken on the prospect of Salah winning the award.

The 21 year old said, “He has his targets, he’s around the Golden Boot and it’s something he wants to retain.”

“He’s a world-class player who scores so many goals for us and we try to get him on the board as much as possible.”

Salah will require a lot of good fortune to win the award, however, as he is three goals behind current leader Jamie Vardy with Aubameyang once again in the hunt at two off the Leicester man.

Liverpool’s next opportunity to add to the tally will be at home against Burnley on Saturday 11th of July at 4 PM Egyptian time.
