On Sunday, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he will resign next month but remain in office until June 20, when snap parliamentary elections are scheduled, in an attempt to end the country's political crisis.

In a post on his Facebook official page, he said: "I will resign in April. I will resign not to resign, but in order for early elections to take place.”

"I will continue to serve as interim prime minister," he added.
