Armenia Honors Former Egyptian Ambassador for Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The former Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Armenia, Sirinad Jamil, has been awarded the Second-Class Medal of Honor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia in recognition of her outstanding contribution to strengthening and advancing relations between Egypt and Armenia.

The honor was granted by decision of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. Acting on behalf of the Armenian foreign minister, the Ambassador of Armenia to Egypt, Armen Sarkissian, formally presented the medal during an official ceremony held at the Embassy of Armenia in Cairo on January 22.

During a meeting following the ceremony, Sirinad Jamil reflected on her diplomatic mission in Armenia and the initiatives and programs she implemented during her tenure. She expressed deep appreciation and respect for the Armenian government and people, and conveyed her sincere gratitude for the honor bestowed upon her, describing it as a meaningful recognition of the strong ties between the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Armen Sarkissian thanked Sirinad Jamil for her dedicated efforts to deepen and expand Armenian–Egyptian cooperation. He underscored the importance of maintaining regular engagement and sustaining the strong personal and diplomatic relationships that have contributed to the steady development of bilateral ties.
