On Tuesday, the Arab Parliament has praised the UN Security Council's resolution that classified the Houthis as a terrorist group and imposed an arms embargo on the militia, describing the move as a victory for right and legitimacy in facing falsehood.

The Arab Parliament, in a statement on Tuesday, stressed that issuing this decision came on time after the terrorist group escalated its attacks on Saudi Arabia and the UAE, in addition to its attacks on airports and ports in a way that threatens the lives of civilians, hinders the international marine movement, and negatively affects the international trade movement, adding that the decision falls under the responsibility of the Security Council towards maintaining international peace and security.

The parliament noted that this decision was also the result of big Arab efforts by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE to stop the violations of the terrorist Houthi group and support endeavors to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis.

The Arab Parliament also stressed its solidarity with all Arab and international efforts being exerted to maintain international peace and security and combat all violations perpetrated by the terrorist Houthi group, in addition to Arab countries’ devoted efforts to stop the deterioration of humanitarian conditions among the brotherly Yemeni people as a result of the practices of the Houthi militia and its violations to all international laws.
