The Director of the Department of Arab Organizations and Unions in the League of Arab States, Minister Plenipotentiary Muhammad Khair Abdel Qader, affirmed that the 53rd session of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action is concerned with a number of files imposed by the new challenges facing the world.

He added that the Russian-Ukrainian crisis left a great impact on the Arab region, especially with regard to the issue of food security. Abdul Qader said - 50% of the food needs of Arab countries are imported from abroad, specifically from Russia and Ukraine, where the two countries provide 30% of the global production of grain.

He warned that the Arab countries are fully linked with the two parties to the conflict because the Arab countries import 43% of their grain consumption from Russia and Ukraine. He explained that there is a significant impact that will occur if this war continues.
