Ambassador Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al Maliki, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Economic Affairs Sector at the League of Arab States, met with a delegation from the Arab Businesswomen Investors Union (ABWIU) led by Dr. Hoda Yassa at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
The meeting focused on establishing joint economic cooperation mechanisms for the upcoming year, 2026. Ambassador Al Maliki emphasized the significance of the dialogue in boosting economic and investment collaboration across Arab nations, stressing the vital role of civil society organizations like the ABWIU, which he described as an arm of the Arab League.
Dr. Yassa extended gratitude to the Ambassador for his support of the "Arab-African Investment and International Cooperation Summit" organized by the Union last October. She noted that the discussions focused on leveraging the Arab League's international ties to activate shared Arab economic initiatives through joint plans with the ABWIU and its member states.
