Arab leaders and officials extended their congratulations to Donald Trump on his inauguration as President of the United States (US) and his swearing-in ceremony.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, sent a congratulatory message to President Trump.
Similar messages were sent by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, according to the UAE News Agency.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also congratulated President Trump on the occasion of his inauguration.
In a statement reported by the Palestinian News Agency on Monday, Abbas expressed readiness to work with the new US administration to achieve peace based on the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy, allowing Palestine and Israel to live side by side in peace and security, fostering stability in the region and the world.
Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also sent a congratulatory message to President Trump, wishing him success in his role and expressing hope for the continued progress and prosperity of the strategic friendship and cooperation between Qatar and the United States.
Similarly, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani conveyed his congratulations in a message reported by the Qatar News Agency.
