Today, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities launched a children's art competition to celebrate World Heritage Day.
This competition aims to encourage children from 6 to 12 years to raise the archaeological and cultural awareness of children and introduce them to the civilization and culture of their countries, in addition to discovering and developing their artistic talents.
Dr. Rasha Kamal, Director General of the Department of Cultural Development and Community Communication at the Ministry of Antiquities said: “The competition also aims to encourage children to scientific research and knowledge of the Egyptian archeological sites registered on the World Heritage List through a research presented to one of those sites and then drawn.”
These works and drawings will be sent through the administration's email to [email protected] to evaluate and choose the best one Then, the prizes will be given for the best three works.
The ministry will also organize an online art exhibition for these drawings through its official websites and social media sites.
