Amr Moussa, 84, confirmed in a phone call with RT on Friday that he contracted coronavirus.
The former Secretary-General of the Arab League said, "My health condition is stable, and I have not been admitted to hospital. I am receiving treatment at home after self isolation."
He added that there are a number of doctors, who are following his case, and are in constant contact with him.
"Several doctors follow my case, and I respond to their orders," he pointed out
He demanded that precautionary measures be followed and not be complacent, as 'the virus spreads very easily.'
Moussa called on his friends and loved ones to pray for his recovery, for all those who contracted the virus and all the sick," wishing God to protect Egypt and all humanity from the pandemic.
