Ambassador Robert Joseph, former U.S. diplomat and expert in nuclear non-proliferation, stated that radical change and the overthrow of the Velayat-e Faqih regime represent the ultimate necessity for global security. He asserted that the survival of the mullahs in power poses an inevitable threat that cannot be contained through traditional means.

Joseph stated: "The key to success lies in the complete termination of this regime; if the mullahs survive in any form, it will be a victory for the forces of tyranny. In light of the current reality on the ground and the death of the executioner Khamenei, it has become clear that the regime is in its final stages. Any strategy that allows it to maintain its grip is a gamble with international security."

He added: "I place my full trust in the Iranian people and their ability to settle the battle, as there is a practical path forward stemming from within the country. We have seen the people rise up repeatedly and pay a heavy price—with estimates indicating more than 30,000 people killed in massacres carried out by the regime in the streets—yet the will for democratic change remains unbroken."

Joseph continued: "In addition to military objectives—namely eliminating the threat of ballistic missiles and drones and severing the regime's ties with its terrorist proxies—there must be a radical political transformation. This change will not be achieved through U.S. boots on the ground, but will be realized by the Iranian people and for the Iranian people, as embodied by the Iranian Resistance and its clear program."

He explained: "Based on all my experience in the field of non-proliferation, I can guarantee that this regime will accelerate its pace toward possessing a nuclear weapon if it remains in power. The pursuit of weapons of mass destruction is embedded in its DNA. We face a clear choice: either confront this threat now and support the people, or fight them while they possess a nuclear weapon."

Emphasizing Tehran's lack of credibility, Joseph said: "If the mullahs' lips are moving, they are lying. Iran has enriched uranium up to 60%, which is enough material to produce 11 nuclear weapons, and the step from this level to weapons-grade is very short. Therefore, supporting the efforts of the Iranian people and expanding the role of the Resistance Units is the only viable strategy."

Ambassador Joseph pointed to what has been noted in the strategic analyses of the Resistance, including affirmations by Dr. Majid Sadeghpour, that the era of the Velayat-e Faqih dictatorship has effectively ended. He stressed that the Provisional Government announced by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, based on the 10-point plan, is the only guarantee to prevent the return of autocracy—whether in the form of the 'Shah' or the 'Mullah'—and serves as the bridge to fully transfer sovereignty to the public.

Joseph concluded: "The diplomatic path has been completely exhausted due to the regime's intransigence and its refusal of any effective agreement that closes the nuclear option. Today, with the advancement of the Resistance Units in the field, the international community must recognize the right of the Iranian people to overthrow this brutal regime and establish a democratic, peaceful, and non-nuclear republic."
