The 52nd Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) kicked off on Wednesday in Egypt International Exhibitions Center under the theme of "Life is Reading." The center will be open for the public starting from tomorrow and for two weeks until July 15.
The exceptional edition is considered the biggest cultural gathering in the world currently as it sees the participation of 1218 publishers, 25 countries with prices start from EGP 20, alongside the virtual activities that the book fair will organize.
Some of the participated countries are South Sudan, Libya, Morroco, Tunisia, UAE, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Greece, the U.K., the U.S., and Spain.
The event is a free entry one, and tickets should be booked online for preventing any extra crowds near gates or ticket spots. You can book your ticket here.
All medical protective measures against COVID-19 are strictly applied including wearing masks, and social distances.
Visitors can enter the CIBF from July 1 to 15 from 10 am to 10 pm, except Fridays as the venue will open its doors from 1 pm to 10 pm.
Also, the authorities provided the visitors with a number of buses from different points of departure for facilitating the process of visiting the book fair.
