Algerian football legend Rabah Madjer said that the Egyptian Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah is considered the pride of the Arabs and Africa.

"Salah is a distinguished player and he is the pride of the Arabs," Madjer added in a statement to On Time Sport 2 channel.
He continued: "He is doing a great job in Liverpool and is considered one of the best players in the world, and I wish him success. He does not represent Egypt only, but also represents us all, as Arabs."
The former Algeria coach added: "Salah's skills have developed a lot with Liverpool under the leadership of German coach Jürgen Klopp."

Regarding claims about Salah's desire to leave Liverpool and move to Real Madrid or Barcelona, Madjer said: "Salah is the one to make this decision, alongside Liverpool which also has the right to agree or refuse the departure of the player, as long as they have a contract."
He concluded: "I hope Salah will achieve everything he wishes in the future, and we, as former players, will continue to support him."
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper AS early last week, Salah had expressed his admiration for the two giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
