Algeria's President Abdel Majid Tebboune directed to ban the export of all consumer products that Algeria imports, such as sugar, pastries, oil, semolina, and all wheat derivatives.

During the meeting of the  Council of Ministers, the Algerian President reiterated the continuation of banning the import of frozen meat completely and encouraging the consumption of locally produced meat.

Algeria's President   Tebboune assigned the Minister of Justice to prepare a draft law criminalizing the export of materials not produced locally, as a sabotage act that harms the national economy.

The President of Algeria promised the farmers who supply the state's strategic stock of hard and soft wheat, and dry grains, with various incentives, including support with loans, fertilizers, and other benefits.

For his part, the Governor of the Bank of Algeria, Rustam Fadhli, confirmed that the stock of cash liquidity in Algeria is sufficient for 3 years, announcing the rise of this liquidity to 1500 billion Algerian dinars on March 6.
