Liverpool's right-back Alexander-Arnold has won the Premier League Player of Month (POTM) for December due to his illustrious performance with the Reds.

The 21-year-old player won this award as he managed to net a goal and rack up three other assists with the Uefa Champions League holders during the last month.

He scooped this award for the first time in his history. Arnold became the first right-back in the Premier League to win this award since August 2017 when Micah Richards scooped this award in

The English international player participated in the Reds' five victories during the last month against Everton, Bournemouth, Watford, Leicester City, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He became the second player in Liverpool to win this award after Sadio Mane, who beat Dele Alli, Raul Jimenez, Lys Mousset, Son Heung-min, Caglar Soyuncu, and Jamie Vardy to claim the award last month.

"It's a proud moment," Arnold told Premier League official website.

"We've had a good month as a team. There were many players that were up for it so it's an honor to be the one that won it," he added.

Liverpool now attain the Premier League leadership after they managed to maintain their unbeaten start to the league dropping just two points since the beginning of the season.
