Bahgat Al-Ubaidi, deputy head of the Al-Ghad party for Austria’s affairs, praised Egypt’s official position issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry regarding the deal of the century and the solution plan announced yesterday by US President Donald Trump.
Al-Ubaidi said that the Egyptian response came realistic and consistent with the Egyptian stances on the Palestinian issue, which is a priority for Egypt and the Arab world as well.
He stressed that the Egyptian response did not adopt meaningless slogans to impact public feelings, but rather reflected a deep understanding of the Palestinian cause and the situation in the Arab world, as it called on the two parties to study the deal, hoping that it eventually brings the two parties on the negotiating table to find a comprehensive solution.
Al-Ubaidi noted that the Egyptian response was keen on the interests of the Palestinian people when it stressed the need to adhere to international legitimacy and the resolutions of the United Nations in order to preserve the right of the Palestinian people.
The deputy head of the Al-Ghad party for Austria’s affairs added that on the contrary to the Egyptian position, there were others who promote slogans and unrealistic ideas which "would harm the Palestinian cause", referring specifically to the Turkish stance which regarded the American deal as "born dead".
Al-Ubaidi stated that those stances are carefully designed on purpose because at the end of the issue, when a solution is reached, they would have then lost their false propaganda.
