On Saturday, Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal announced the signing of the Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez from Liverpool during the ongoing summer transfer window.
The deal is worth around €53 million plus additional bonuses for Liverpool, according to reports.
Núñez has signed a three-year contract with the Saudi giants, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2028.
In his unveiling video, Al Hilal declared, “The tiger is blue,” marking the striker’s official arrival.
Liverpool also announced in an official statement: "Liverpool FC can confirm Darwin Nunez has completed a permanent transfer to Al-Hilal, subject to international clearance."
According to press reports, Núñez will earn a net annual salary of approximately €15 million, in addition to performance-related bonuses.

Since joining the Reds from Benfica in 2022 for £85 million, Núñez netted 40 goals and provided 26 assists in 143 appearances across all competitions.
