The Al-Azhar strongly condemns the heinous crime committed by the Zionist terrorist entity, which tore and burned copies of the Holy Quran and attacked innocent Palestinians in several villages in the West Bank, stealing their property.

Al-Azhar stated that it is not surprised by the occurrence of such crimes by this brutal colonial entity.

The Al-Azhar also emphasized that the continued occupation of peoples, lands, and territories by this entity, and its commission of crimes in plain sight of the international community, while the world fails to curb its bloody behaviors, is an unjustifiable complicity and a crime against humanity.

It constitutes a blatant violation of international law and all customs and treaties that require respect for religious sanctities and ensure freedom of worship.

Moreover, Al-Azhar stated that it is time to take a serious and unified Arab and Islamic stance against this terrorist entity, which has committed, and continues to commit, the worst atrocities against our Palestinian brothers and sisters, and the urgent need for swift and binding measures to establish an independent Palestinian state with its capital in Jerusalem.

The Al-Azhar's statement comes in response to the recent attack on Palestinian villages by the Israeli military, in which copies of the Holy Quran were desecrated and burned alongside other acts of violence and theft.

The statement also reflects growing anger and frustration among Muslims worldwide at the ongoing oppression of Palestinians by Israel.
