Al Ahly SC Football Director Sayed Abdelhafiz announced Thursday that 4 players within the Red team have contracted coronavirus.

Abdelhafiz said in statements to the club's official website that "Mohamed Hany, Marwan Mohsen, Mahmoud Kahraba, and Akram Tawfik have tested positive for COVID-19 and they will self-isolate at home according to the Egyptian Ministry of Health COVID-19 protocol,"

He added that Mohamed Magdy "Afsha" will undergo a new medical swab, Thursday, to check on his health status, as part of the precautionary measures that are applied to all players after curing from COVID-19, ahead of participating in the full training.

Afsha was injured before Al Ahly team traveled to Niger to face AS SONIDEP in the first leg of the round of 32 in the CAF Champions League.

The Red Devils are preparing to clash against Wadi Degla SC, Friday, in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
