Al Ahly had a 1–1 with Morocco’s AS FAR in the match held on Friday evening at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium, as part of the second round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
With this draw, Al Ahly moved to 4 points at the top of Group B on goal difference ahead of Tanzania’s Young Africans, who sit second.
AS FAR and JS Kabylie both follow with one point each in third and fourth place respectively.

The penalty struck the right post but Mohsen Bourika followed up and scored in the 36th minute.
Al Ahly started the second half with high pressure in search of an equaliser.
Ashraf Bencherki threatened Al Ahly’s goal with a move from the right into the box in the 50th minute, but the Moroccan goalkeeper held on.

Al Ahly made their first substitution in the 58th minute, bringing on Taher Mohamed Taher for Sherif.
Two more changes followed in the 67th minute: Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane and Mohamed Shokry replaced Dieng and Ahmed Nabil “Koka”.
Trezeguet scored the equaliser in the 68th minute with a header from Ben Romdhane’s cross, the Tunisian’s first touch after coming on.
