Al Ahly Director of Marketing and Transfers Amir Tawfik announced Wednesday the termination of the Angolan professional Geraldo's contract after negotiations between the two parties for some time to terminate the contract.

Tawfik said in statements to Al Ahly official website that an agreement was reached with Geraldo to clear the contract by mutual consent and settle all financial matters related to the two parties.

For his part, the player bade farewell to the team and the technical staff, and Sayed Abdel Hafeez, the Red Devils Football Manager, thanked the player for the period he spent playing for the club.

Geraldo had joined Al Ahly from the Angolan Primeiro de Agosto team in January of 2019, to win the Premier League championship twice and the CAF Champions League in its last version with the Red team.

He was excluded from the team’s squad by South African coach Pitso Mosimane recently, especially after the signing of the Zambian professional Walter Bwalya from the El Gouna team during the current transfer window.
