Who is Ahmed Fathy?

Ahmed Fathy started his glorious football career in Ismaily FC in 2002, before moving to Sheffield United in 2007.

Also in 2007, he started his journey with the Red Devils, as he made 338 caps with Al Ahly, scoring 24 goals and making 61 assists.

During his stay in the Red Devils, he won nineteen titles overall; ten Egyptian League, three CAF Champions League, two CAF Super Cup, three Egypt's Super Cup and only one Egypt Cup title

It is worth mentioning that all football activities in Egypt were suspended until mid of April because of coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, the Health Ministry said 54 new coronavirus cases were detected, all of them are Egyptians, who were in contact with other positive cases.

“This upped the total number of confirmed cases to 710” Khaled Megahed, the ministry’s spokesman said in a statement.

Five more deaths were confirmed; raising the total number to 46. Two of the deceased died before arriving at a hospital.

“Up to 157 coronavirus patients have totally recovered so far,” the spokesman said.

“Seven Egyptians were among the recovered patients today,” he added.

Also, the number of coronavirus patients who had now been retested for the virus and had received negative results has reached 205, after getting proper treatment in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO).

In this regard, Health Minister Hala Zayed reviewed the pandemic situation, saying that the number of positive cases globally for each one million people is 105, while the percentage of deaths for each one million citizens is 5.1.

“In Egypt, the number of positive cases for each one million citizens is six and the percentage of deaths for each one million citizens is 0.4, a matter which refers that the situation in Egypt is stable until now,” Zayed pointed out.
