Ahmed Halawa on Ventilator amid Fight with Coronavirus

Veteran Egyptian actor Ahmed Halawa's health took a turn for the worse as he continued to battle the Coronavirus.

Heba, the actor's daughter, shared Wednesday that the beloved screen actor, 73, was in a very critical condition.

She added that he had fallen into a coma and was placed on a ventilator.

Halawa had tested positve for the Coronavirus in February.

A new study published by researchers at the Cornell University, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital found that more than 70% of coronavirus patients who go into a coma while on a ventilator eventually wake up.
