Early Thursday, AEW produced its annual special theme event, Winter Is Coming. The first part of the events was scheduled for Wednesday's Dynamite, and the rest will be introduced in tomorrow's Rampage.

Seven matches were set for the event, including a Winner Takes All match for the Dynamite Diamond Ring, and the AEW World Championship between MJF and Ricky Starks.

The show exhibited new improvements in terms of production and the sequence of events. The events went smoother than before, and there was no rush in introducing promos and video packages.

AEW seemed solved several issues that were criticized by the audience.

The first positive point related to AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming is improving the Best of 7-Series for the AEW World Trios titles.

Setting the same teams in seven successive weeks was challenging to the promotion, in addition, some audience was bored.

Therefore, The Elite exhibited a new way of the match's storytelling to thrill the audience once again by depicting Nick Jackson as an injured man who fought to catch the match.

So, after getting the third loss in the series, The Elite revealed that they will take the fight in a new whole direction by setting the upcoming match as a NO DQ one because Death Triangle kept using the hammer behind the back of the official. The following match will be Fall Count Anywhere. In addition, if the Elite managed to catch the points of the upcoming two matches, the final round of the series will be a Ladder match.

The second positive point in the show is the continuation of strengthening AEW Rampage. For the second week, AEW added some of the company's top names in AEW Rampage after the tragic downfall of the show's ratings, viewership, and key demo. Jon Moxely, Sami Guevara, Britt Baker, AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy, and Wardlow were announced for the upcoming AEW Rampage episode.

Back to AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming, the show answered several questions about a number of ongoing scripts in the promotion. For example, Blackpool Combat Club future after the departure of William Regal. Moxely performed a short promo with Claudio Castagnoli and Wheleer Yuta after re-capturing their ROH titles from Jericho Appreciation Society's Danial Garcia and Chris Jericho.

Moxley revealed that the fight between both factions is not over yet, and the faction will keep the fight.

Moreover, Adam Hangman Page cut an emotional promo to reveal that he would continue fighting Moxley after causing an injury to him last October. It seemed that Page perfected attracting the audience with mentioning the hard times he experienced in the hospital, and the side effects of concussion, including the moment he forgot the name of his son.

The appearance of Bryan Danielson by the end of the show to confront MJF determined the next challenger of MJF for the world title after defeating Ricky Starks.

Creating a streak of loses to Christ Jericho would open the door for a new improvement to the character of the Ocho.

Jericho should be praised as he performed a fantastic match against a jobber, granting him an AEW contract after he was defeated.

Wrestling news legend, Dave Meltzer, said that Jericho was impressed by the performance of Action Andretti in AEW Dark shows, and decided to give him a chance on tv. A wise, and a very good decision by such a legend and GOAT of Wrestling.

Setting a partnership between Hook and Jungle Boy is a good sign for presenting better scenarios for both promising stars.

The matches of the night were all good, except the match of the House of Black against the Factory. It was a fast squash match, full of strong spots outside the ring and before the ring belt. House of Black needed that representation to push them to challenge to the AEW World Trios titles.

There were also several hints for a beginning of a feud between The Acclaimed and Jeff Jarret, Jungle Boy & Hook and the Firm, in addition to the continuation of the feud between Ruby Soho and Tay Melo, and the feud between the FTR and The Gunn Club.

It seemed that Winter Is Coming set the definitive lines for the upcoming plans for the AEW after Full Gear and the holiday season, and it could be the beginning of setting the build of Revolution 2023.
