Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit said that the aggression against Gaza is not the first of its kind, but we hope that it will be the last, pointing out to the brutal aggressive approach represented in the mass cleansing and unprecedented violence against the civilian population.

In his speech before the Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, Aboul Gheit stressed that a complete ceasefire should be a priority over any other consideration, and everyone who can play a role in this framework should work on it, while calls for displacement remain an international crime, according to the rules of international law, as Gaza shouldn't be separated from the West Bank or East Jerusalem, as tgis represents a clear violation of international legitimacy.

He called for responding to calls to organize an international conference in order to restore the path to the two-state solution, stressing the necessity supporting the people of Gaza in light of the violations they are suffering.
