Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Deputy Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament, congratulated on Saturday Al Ahly chairman Mahmoud El-Khatib on winning the Red Devils' presidential elections.
On Saturday, Egypt footballing legend Mahmoud El-Khatib was announced as the winner of Al Ahly presidential elections to remain at the helm of the club for another four years.
"I would like to congratulate Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib on winning the elections," Abou El Enein said in a statement.
"The high turnout in Al Ahly elections is like a message of love and trust from Al Ahly members and fans to Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib as a result of many years in which he exerted efforts in serving the club," he added.
"El-Khatib engraved his name in the hearts of football fans as a legendary player. He achieved brilliant success during his presidency of Al Ahly."
His success in maintaining his position as the chairman of this great club is a continuation of the path of the successes achieved, winning tournaments and raising the name of Egypt during the past years," he concluded.
