Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein congratulated Egypt’s men handball national team after being crowned African champions for the eighth time following beating Cape Verde in the final of the 2022 African Championship.
"I commend the brave and heroic performance and the fighting spirit of the handball team throughout the championship matches and beating the strongest teams of the continent," Abou El-Enein said, hailing the insistence of our players and their technical coaching staff to win the title.
He praised the performance of the players, adding:" Handball has become a source of happiness and joy for the Egyptian fans with its continental and international achievements."
"Thanks to its heroic players, Egypt has become a big name among the international handball teams.. Congratulations to our handball champions and the Egyptian fans for winning the the African Cup of Nations, which will be a strong incentive during our team’s participation in the 2023 IHF Men's World Championship in Poland and Sweden," said Abou El-Enein.
