Abdel-Dayem Guest of Honor in Cairo Orchestra’s Concert

Renowned Egyptian flute player Inas Abdel-Dayem Show will be the guest of honor in the concert led by veteran musician Nair Nagy that is set to be held at Cairo Opera House's Grand Theatre on Jan. 22.

The Cairo Orchestra will perform a selection of Ragih Dawod 's remarkable songs and iconic pieces, honoring his talent and his oustanding career.

The ceremony marks Abdel-Dayem’s return to operate concerts at the opera after a long hiatus.

Abdel-Dayem served as Chairwoman of the Cairo Opera House and Minister of Culture of Egypt since January 2018.

Ines Abdel-Dayem studied at the flute department of the Cairo Conservatoire where she graduated in 1984. In 1990, she earned a performance diploma from the École Normale de Musique de Paris.

In 2003, Abdel-Dayem was appointed director of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra.

Two years later, she took the helm as the dean of the Cairo Conservatoire, and shortly after vice-president of the Academy of Arts.
