Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) released today licensed vehicles Bulletin in 31/12/2023, the most important indicators are as follows: Total number of licensed vehicles in Republic governorates reached 9.95 million vehicles on 31-12-2023, compared to 9.94 million vehicles on 31-2- 2022, a decrease by0.04%.
Cairo came at first ranked as number of vehicles reached 2.6 million vehicles by 26.2%, followed by Giza 1.4 million vehicles by 14.0 %, then Alexandria ranked third 731.4 thousand vehicles by 7.4%, north Sinai came at last ranked reached 41.9 thousand vehicles by 0.4% of total vehicles in 31/12/2023.
Total number of licensed cars reached 5.6 million cars by 55.8 % of total vehiclesin 31/12/2023 and the largest number was for private cars (owned) that reached 5.2 million cars by 94.3%, followed by taxis 310.3 thousand cars by 5.6% and the lowest are caravan cars that reached 284 cars.
Total number of licensed buses reached 172.4 thousand buses by 1.7% of total vehicles in 31/12/2023, and private bus came at first ranked 76.7 thousand buses by 44.5% of total buses , and public bus ranked last 12.8 thousand by 7.4 % of total buses.
Total number of licensed trucks reached 1.3 million trucks by 13.0 % of total vehicles in 31/12/2023. As the total number of licensed transport vehicles reached 1.2 million, or 92.6% of the total number of cars and trailers, and the total number of licensed trailers reached 94.9 thousand, representing 7.4% of the total number of transport vehicles and trailers on 12/31/2023.
