The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is set to hold the 6th Session of the Islamic Conference of Labour Ministers (ICLM) in Doha, the State of Qatar, on 15th-16th October, 2025, under the theme “Local Experiences, Global Achievements: Success Stories in the Islamic World”. The State of Qatar will host the 6th Session of the ICLM.
The Conference will bring together Labour Ministers from the OIC Member States to discuss issues affecting the human resource development, especially high-quality human resources, as well as strategies for adapting to new technologies and evolving industries.
The Conference will provide an opportunity for the Labour Ministers to review the progress in implementation of the various OIC initiatives on advancing intra-OIC cooperation to enhance the competitiveness of the workforce, promote decent and productive employment in Member States, as well as deliberate on the activities of the OIC institutions in this direction.
It is worth mentioning that the ICLM is instrumental in boosting cooperation among the Member States towards building a more skilled, adaptable and resilient workforce, considering the prevailing high levels of unemployment in many OIC countries, especially among the youth.
