Luxor African Film Festival (LAFF) organizing committee revealed the full list of the features that will participate at the official selection out of competition program of the upcoming edition. The forthcoming event will take place between March 4 and 10.
The program will include six films from Egypt, Sudan, Uganda, and Burkina Faso. They are "Tourouni les teresses," "Kony: Order from Above," "Nile Crocodile," "Ebnaty," and "Touby Lahon."
In the same context, there are ten features are listed to participate in the official competition, and 15 short films are set to compete in the short film contest. In addition, there will be four competitions organized b the foundation of Independent Artists.
Moreover, the theme of the festival will be “Re-Exploring Egypt” which will be dedicated to the beauty of the Egyptian sites in the cinema, especially on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Tutankhamun tomb in Luxor discovery.
Uganda was selected as the LAFF forthcoming edition’s guest of honor. In addition, the festival will pay a tribute to the Senegalese composer, director, and actor Djibril Diop Mambéty.
