At least six Afghan security forces were killed and 12 others were injured Monday in two separate Taliban attacks in Baghlan and Nimroz provinces.
Security sources in Baghlan province said that the Taliban ambushed the security forces in the northern region of the country. They killed three soldiers and injured six others in addition to causing damage to army vehicles. Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
In another incident, 3 policemen were killed and six others were injured in a Taliban attack on a security post in Chakhansur district of Nimroz province in the southwest of the country. Taliban has not yet commented on the attack.
