CAIRO, Nov. 10 (SEE) - The Fifth International Cairo Exhibition of Innovation concluded its events on Friday at Cairo International Fair Grounds.
Under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the fair was earlier inaugurated by Higher Education Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Planning Minister Hala El Saeid, Education Minister Tarek Shawky, and President of Academy of Scientific Research and Technology Mahmoud Sakr.

Abdel Ghaffar said that the exhibition is a great opportunity for innovators and inventors to show their ideas, a matter which reflects the political leadership's interest in encouraging such outstanding people.
"Such events incentivize the technological and industrial alliances to boost the local industry through Egyptian hands as well as spreading the culture of innovations among students," he added.

Meanwhile, Saeid pointed out that the government is interested in supporting innovation nationwide through holding international fairs for inventions and activating programs of the Egyptian Young Academy of Science and Child University.
About 23 inventions were displayed at the exhibition such as robots, devices for charging batteries, and water purifying machines
The ASRT showed several projects worth of EGP13 million including 3D films and publishing scientific books and magazines in English.
The fair included a new pavilion for the first time for children from 9 to 13 that aims to simplify science for the children and teach them scientific thinking skills.
